Greatest Common Factor

The greatest common facor can be defined as the largest factor in the group of factors that divides the number.

The steps in order to find the GCF.
  1. List the prime factors of each number.
  2. Multiply those factors that both numbers have in common. If there is no common prime factors then the GCF is 1.
